Black Dog Ride National 1 Day Ride for Lifeline Media
The inaugural 2012 Black Dog Ride National 1 Day Ride for Lifeline took place on April 29th (April 22nd in Tasmania) with riders in every state and territory taking part in 11 legs of a national ride to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention. Over 2,000 participants took part in the ride nationwide. Each rider carried the Black Dog Ride mascot Winston, symbolic of the "black dog of depression", and created new world records for most black dogs on motorbikes! An outstanding effort with the event expected to grow considerably next year.
